Arusha is a fun city to explore, a fascinating urban complement to the thrills on offer elsewhere in northern Tanzania's safari parks. Here you'll get to experience lively streets, tasty local food, and busy markets and museums. More than anything else, it's a window into life in a provincial Tanzanian city. Stay in the center of Arusha at Kibo Palace Hotel, it's convenient for just about everything in town. Handsome rooms are just the start, other facilities and services include a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, gymnasium and massage center. The professional-standard service is also part of the experience.

Ngorongoro is a special place and the first time that you descend onto the crater floor is like no other safari experience in Africa, one where you’ll encounter the crater’s 600-strong population of hyenas, as well as critically endangered black rhinos. You’ll also find elephants with larger-than-average tusks, and more than 50 lions living in the crater. But it’s the sheer beauty of Ngorongoro that will most likely live longest in your memory. From early morning, mist rises from the crater, revealing steep, forested walls.

Tarangire National Park
You have so much to look forward to in Tarangire. Top of any list are the elephants and the baobab trees, which are such dominant presences throughout the park. Lions are another possible wildlife highlight among many, and it's rarely crowded. Staying at Ngorongoro Lion's Paw Camp means surrounding yourself with all that's good about staying high on the crater rim.

Visiting the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Serengeti is one of the best things you can do on safari. This is a park filled with some of the biggest populations of wildlife in Africa, there is a very good chance that you will see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and so many other species. The endless horizons of the Savannah grasslands are the perfect backdrop for seeing so many animals. The Serengeti has large numbers of wildlife, quiet safari trails, and equally wonderful scenery. It's best when the migration is around, but it's good at any time of the year. You're in a fantastic location at Lahia Tented Lodge. The stylish, wood-floored safari tents sit on stilts and have excellent views from their terraces. There's a swimming pool and the main building houses a bar and a restaurant.

You’ll never forget the time you spend in the Serengeti. Perhaps it will be the sightings of leopard and cheetah as they show their skills as feared hunters of the plains and valleys. Or that unforgettable moment when an elephant family feeds alongside your vehicle, so close you could almost reach out and touch them. Or the first time you hear a lion roar. Then there are the herds of buffalo, zebra or wildebeest so large that they move as one across your horizon, like a river. All of these experiences are possible in the Serengeti, one of the most beautiful parks in Africa.

Central Serengeti National Park
Exploring the Central Serengeti means experiencing acacia trees silhouetted against a backdrop of endless Savannah. The wildlife viewing here is excellent and big cats are always a possibility.

Night Game Drive, Lake Manyara National Park
You’ll see a very different side of the African bush on a night drive. Away from the city lights, the night sky glitters overhead, while your guide will use a spotlight to pick out the reflective eyes of nocturnal creatures such as leopard, genet, porcupine, bush baby and owl. If staying at Four Seasons Safari Lodge once was a treat, returning for more time here is closer to safari perfection.

Return to Tarangire and enjoy its baobab-strewn landscapes and amazing wildlife all over again. Beneath a sky of sparkling stars, we head out on a night drive in search of a cast of weird and wonderful creatures seldom seen by day. There are no guarantees, but night drives provide your best chance of locating the elusive likes of leopard, bush-pig, serval cat, ardvark and elephant shrew. Stay for longer at Tarangire Elephant Springs Camp. Explore fantastic Tarangire on a guided game drive that will take you out among the baobab trees to look for lions, elephants and more. Spend more time getting to know Zanzibar Island. Return to Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort. Go on a guided game drive amid the baobab trees of Tarangire National Park this morning. On the drive, your guide will help you look for the lions and elephants for which the park is famous. It's a wonderful opportunity to ask all of the questions you want. This afternoon we will take you to the airport. Transfer by Air, Arusha Airport to Zanzibar Island.
